Personal Training

Most people quit exercise programs because they get bored or have no one to work out with!   To reach your fitness goals, you need to exercise on a regular basis and make each session count.   A trainer will help you develop the incentive to stick with your new lifestyle.

The Davison Athletic Club is proud to offer personal training to members as well as non-members.   A certified personal trainer has the expertise, educational background and creativity to design an individualized program specific to the client’s needs.   All of the personal trainers hold nationally recognized certifications and can assist in such areas as body fat reduction, cardiovascular conditioning, strength and resistance training, post-rehabilitation from injury, flexibility training, functional training and nutritional counseling.

When you sign up for personal training a DAC personal trainer will discuss your health history, lifestyle, nutritional habits and goals, evaluates your current fitness level, completes a joint movement evaluation and does a gait and postural analysis. Based on this, a personal program is designed to fit your individual needs.

fitness3Members see personal trainers for a variety of reasons:

  • To jump start a new specific exercise program/lifestyle.
  • To design a sports specific program for athletes.
  • To lose a few extra pounds and gain muscle.
  • To work with an injury that might be slowing him/her down.
  • For MOTIVATION.

A trainer's expertise enables him/her to customize your exercise program specific to your goals.   The trainer will teach you correct form, seat adjustments, amount of weight, etc.   This will help you use your time more effectively, and minimize your chance for injury.   As your fitness level improves the trainer will provide more challenging exercises to meet your changing needs.
